Medical component reviews start with intended use, material specification and the required inspection evidence. Machining a named alloy does not by itself establish suitability for a medical application.
Engineering considerations
- Describe contact conditions, cleaning or sterilisation exposure where relevant, and who will validate the finished component.
- Specify exact material grade and condition, surface requirements, edge condition and critical interfaces.
- Agree traceability and inspection documentation. Device approval and material suitability need separate project validation.
