What needs review for Engineering Plastics?
Engineering plastics must be specified by polymer grade and operating conditions. Review dimensional acceptance alongside temperature, moisture and load requirements.
Engineering considerations
- Choose a named grade of POM, PEEK, PTFE or PA; state fillers and supplier specifications where these affect the design.
- Describe service temperature, moisture exposure and loading, and identify the fit or shape that must remain stable.
- Agree measurement conditions, finish, burr control and material records. Metal-style tolerances are not automatically transferable.
